Warranties, Refunds and Repairs
Warranty – We offer a 14-day warranty (statutory obligations not excepted). If you would like to extend your warranty to 3 months the price is £10, for 6 months £15 and £25 for 12 months. If you find your SWEGWAY faulty make sure that you tell us within the first 14 days.
Repairs- We have contracted with an expert specialist repair company to carry out all our repairs quickly and efficiently. With a warranty, we collect and redeliver free with a turnaround time of 7 to 10 days. Repair and delivery costs typically are around £75.
Swegways are susceptible to scuffing. You’ll take them out of the box, bright and breezy, but they can be quickly scuffed. We will not accept scuffed returns under the cooling off rules because they must be resold.
They’re heavy, especially for a child. Weighing about 24 lbs., should you run out of battery you may have a long difficult walk home.
For a refund, you have 14 calendar days to return an item unused from the date you receive it.
To be eligible for a refund, your item must be unused, unscuffed, in the same condition that your received it and returned in the original box.
Refunds (outside the 14 day cooling off period)
Once received, we will inspect and notify you of the status of any refund claim repair or replacement. Often a fault can be easily rectified by our engineers when the SWEGWAY will be fixed, tested and made good. It will be returned to you free of charge.
With a warranty, you can be sure that, excepting fair wear and tear, if the product is faulty due to manufacture, and has not been abused, we will pay all delivery and repair charges or replace. Please read our warranty terms.
Without a warranty, you retain your legal rights of expecting your product to be fit for purpose and of merchantable quality however note that the life of a SWEGWAY used daily outside in wind and rain is not considered to be more than 12 months. You can expect then for it to require a service or repair just like a car. While we will undertake such work, it would be at your cost.
If a refund is requested and approved by us, we will pay it to your credit card (or original method of payment) within 7 days. It is unlikely that we will refund after 14 days from receipt.
If after 14 days the product is faulty, then we will repair under warranty conditions at our cost and if no warranty we will still repair however the circumstances then will determine whether the cost of repairs and delivery is yours or ours. It is likely that if you have no warranty, then after 2 months you will be expected to pay all charges.
If the SWEGWAY has been abused and not covered by warranty then we will repair it for you if possible, at your cost. After 2 months’ use, without a warranty, it is likely that you will be expected to pay repair charges. Prepayment of repair charges and delivery is typically £50 -£75.
Please remember that an abused product is not covered by warranty.
Examples of abuse are: 2 riders, dropping it, ramming against a wall, opening it, removing parts, tampering, deliberate damage. These nullify the warranty.
You are responsible for paying postage costs for returning your item unless it is under warranty, when postage is paid by us.
